What are the dates for LBA?
The dates for Laid Back Attack XVI are July 12 – 15, 2018.
Will there be anything happening the day prior to LBA?
There may be a ‘Pub Crawl’ or other informal gathering in downtown Olympia for Wednesday, July 11th afternoon/evening . Watch for details.
How much does the event cost?
The ticket cost for this year’s multi-day music event is $90.00 (US).
Can I buy single day tickets?
Sorry, no. No single day tickets are planned.
How do I register?
The online registration form is available on our website www.laidbackattack.com. You may register and pay online (our preferred method), or print out the registration form, enclose a check for the appropriate amount and mail it to the address on the form. You can register individually or as a couple. If you are mailing your registration, please use a separate registration form for each person/couple. You may total the amount and send one check.
When does registration open?
Registration opens on or around December 15, 2017. Watch for announcements.
What is the deadline for registration?
Mail-in registration forms must be received by June 12, 2018. Please allow enough time for mailing.
Online registration closes on June 12, 2018 – or at 300 registrants, whichever comes first.
I missed the deadline, is there anything I can do?
Sorry, no. We set a deadline date for many reasons. We need time to handle all the administrative work as well as coordinate with various organizations.
Where is the event being held this year?
This year, Laid Back Attack will be held at Hotel RL (formerly The Red Lion Hotel) in Olympia, WA.
Is there a hotel nearby?
Yes, our host venue is a hotel. Room reservation information is available through this website. If our host hotel is full, there are other hotels in the general area.
When will the musician line-up be announced?
The musician line-up was announced during “Meeting Of The Minds” in Key West, FL in November 2017. Watch for announcements for additional entertainment.
Where can I find the LBA music and activities schedule?
The music and activities schedule will be printed in the official program. One will be included with your registration materials at the event. Additionally, you will get a lot of information via email. We may post some more detailed information on this web site.
Is there going to be food?
Yes. There will be food and drinks available for purchase throughout the event. Food and drinks are not included in the price of the ticket. There are also many local restaurants and stores in the Olympia area close to the event.
Can I order more than one shirt when I register?
Yes. You may order as many shirts as you like. There may be additional shirts available for purchase at the merchandise table during event, but that is not guaranteed.
Can I bring my kids?
No. Sorry, this is a 21 and over event only. ID’s will be checked at the door.
Can I bring my dogs?
While the hotel is pet-friendly (please check with the hotel front desk before bringing your pet), LBA is not a pet-friendly atmosphere. There will be loud music and a lot of people constantly moving around during the event. There will also be food & drink that is not healthy for our pets. Additionally, only registered service animals, if needed, will be allowed into the main ballroom. And there may be others around with allergies. We ask that you please take these things into consideration before bringing your pets.
Can I come by boat?
Yes, however the closest marina is approximately 2 miles away. Please see our Marina page. You will have to arrange for your own marina reservations and ground transportation.
Is there parking available?
Yes. If you are staying at the hotel, parking is included at no additional charge. You must register your vehicle when you check in. No RV’s please, but check with the hotel. If you are not staying at the hotel, daily parking is available, however there may be a fee.
Who can attend the Laid Back Attack?
Laid Back Attack is open to all registered/paying guests.
Who do I make the check out to?
Make checks payable (in United States Dollars Only) to: “PHoPS – LBA”
What happens if after I register I find out I cannot come to LBA?
Sorry, but there are NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS OF REGISTRATION FEES. All LBA registration fees will go to selected PHoPS or LBA Charities. You may have a friend pick up your goody bag (with all the items except your credentials), but you must let us know in advance. It is your responsibility to check the hotel’s cancellation policy. Hotel cancellation fees are your responsibility.
What happens if I don’t pick up the raffle prizes that I win?
Any unclaimed raffle prizes will go into the PHoPS Treasure Chest, to be used for future fundraising or charitable programs.
When will I receive confirmation that I am registered?
If you register online, you should receive an email “Receipt” immediately, provided you supplied a valid email address. Whether you register online or mail in your registration, the Laid Back Attack Coordinator will send you a “Registration Confirmation” email that indicates your registration has been received and paid for. Confirmations will be emailed as soon as possible after your registration has been completed and verified.
If I register for LBA, will I also be a member of your local parrot head club?
No. Laid Back Attack registration and fees are in no way a Parrot Heads of Puget Sound (PHoPS) membership application nor confirmation. If you would like like to join our phlock, please go to our club web site www.phops.com for more information.
Will there be a cruise offered in conjunction with LBA?
No. There will be no cruise associated with LBA this year. If you are interested, there are a number of cruise lines that offer cruises departing from downtown Seattle. Consult your travel agent for more details.
Will there be a golf outing offered in conjunction with LBA?
No. There will be no golf outing offered with LBA this year. There are many fine courses in the area. The hotel may be able to assist you with golf information.
Is there a Mini-Mart?
We don’t have an online mini-mart, but we will have artist and parrot head club merchandise available for purchase during the event.
How can I be a Sponsor?
There are many levels of sponsorship. Please see the details on our ‘Sponsor’ page.
